We currently offer:
-EFAP: Elementary Functional Academic Program
Regina Catholic Schools provides access to the EFAP program for children with intellectual disabilities who require an alternate education program and services to help meet the spiritual, academic, social, emotional and life experiences needs of students with intensive needs. Students are integrated into age-appropriate classrooms based on their readiness for inclusion and their programming needs. Students are welcomed into their community ‘cluster’ school and may remain in that school for their elementary education. EFAP students receive a customized program to reflect their Inclusion and Intervention Plan (IIP). A student’s program is planned with parental input. The program is based on each student’s individual needs and focuses on fostering independence. In addition to an individualized academic program, EFAP classes participate in functional curricula such as a cooking program and adapted physical education classes at the University of Regina.
