Summertime! It’s hard to believe that
the 2018-2019 school year has come to a close!
I feel so blessed to have become part of the St. Marguerite Bourgeoys
school community this year. Our new
staff was made to feel so welcome, and students and returning staff were so
helpful. Thank you all for making this
such a vibrant and engaging school community!
I’d like to thank our St. Marguerite Catholic School Community Council (CSCC)
for their many efforts to build community and support teachers and students
this past year. They have hosted
fundraisers, dances, meals and craft sales throughout the year. Additionally, they have supported families
with some school supplies and teachers with classroom materials and
projects. They have also reached out to
partner with local community school to provide muffins and snacks for their
nutrition program. The impact our CSCC
has on our school is significant, and we could not be as successful as we are
I’d like to extend a thank you to our staff this year, for their commitment to
providing a quality education to their students, but also for volunteering
their time to provide students with extra-curricular activities. Our teachers and staff love to get to know
and relate to students outside of the classrooms, so its win, win! Their passion for teaching and their love of
children truly shines bright in this school.
I would also like to wish our departing staff many blessings as they embark
on new adventures! Ms. Herauf, Mrs.
Weber, Mrs. Belair, and Mrs. Tremblay – your light has shone brightly at St.
Marguerite! Thank you for sharing it
with us. We will miss you.
parents and guardians . . . we could not do this without you! Thank you for keeping us well informed about
your children, and for the education and support you provide them with at
home. All of those minutes you spend
reading with your children, helping with math questions, learning sight words,
assisting with a project, and checking in on homework, directly support their
success at school.
I’ve been so impressed with our students this year! They have worked so hard to learn and be
successful this past year. They have
grown socially and emotionally, and have shown responsibility, discipline and
compassion for others. They have shown
that they can work through mistakes, problem solve, ask for forgiveness and
forgive others. I have been a witness to
many positive actions and words among students around St. Marguerite. Thank you students, for letting your light
will see you on August 29th for the Backpack drop, and then on
September 3rd for the first day of the 2019-2020 school year! God Bless you all, and may this summer bring
you sunshine, joy, rest, and contentment.
