An additional case of COVID-19
has been diagnosed in an individual at St. Marguerite Bourgeoys School. The Saskatchewan
Health Authority Medical Officer has confirmed this to be an outbreak since
there are two linked cases within the school. The affected classroom is already
closed and self-isolating due to a previous case. All parents/guardians in the
classroom have been notified. We are providing this as information and be
assured if your child or child’s classroom were in any way connected to this
case, you would be receiving another letter specific to your circumstances. All
other classrooms will remain open, and classes will resume with business as
usual on Monday, February 22 after the break.
We are working closely with
Public Health staff to ensure necessary measures are in place to protect all
students. We remind everyone entering
schools to monitor for any signs or symptoms of COVID-19. It is very important
that if your child is sick or displaying any symptoms, they should not be in
school. Refer to the Daily Self-Assessment Checklist. Please complete this
before attending school each day.
If you/your child has any
symptoms of COVID-19, please call HealthLine at 811 and remain at home. If medical attention is required, please call
ahead to your health care provider. If
it is an emergency requiring urgent attention, call 911. For further Ministry
of Health website at www.saskatchewan.ca/covid19.
We continue to keep all those impacted by the
COVID-19 virus in our prayers. If you have further questions, please contact Mrs.
Gherasim at email@example.com or Mrs.
Vollet at firstname.lastname@example.org.
