Greetings from the Regina Catholic School Division Board of Trustees!
Welcome to the final month of the school year! We know June is coming, but every year, this month and all the many activities it brings seems to arrive as a surprise.
"Be kind and compassionate to one another, forgiving each other, just as in Christ, God forgave you." Ephesians 4:32
We are working hard at finalizing the budget for the 2019-2020 school year, which will be approved by the end of June. Another big task we have is to arrange appropriate staffing for next year. If you know your child or children will be at a different school in the fall, please let your current school staff know as soon as possible. This will help keep our staffing appointments timely.
June is a busy month with finishing curricula, final concerts, track and field meets, and extra field trips. There are also the big final projects and high school course finalizations. We will pray that all our elementary and high school students will have had a year of growth and success. We hope and pray that as the summer holidays approach, each of you feels touched by the Holy Spirit during our time together in our schools. We want to pray especially for those students who face transitions into next year, whether it is starting kindergarten, moving from elementary school to high schools, continuing educational endeavours, or beginning life outside of the Regina Catholic School Division.
To all the families who will leave us after this year, including our grade 12 graduates and their families, thank you for choosing Catholic education, and may God bless you on your journeys.
There is no freedom greater than letting yourself be guided by the Holy Spirit and allowing Him to lead you wherever he wishes. ~ Pope Francis
Elementary students will get a day off on June 14 while teachers work in the classroom; and our high school students have a day off after finals on June 26. The last day of school for all students is June 27. Please remember that dismissal on June 27th is one hour early.
