SHA has informed us earlier today that a case of COVID-19 has been diagnosed in an individual at École St. Mary. In consultation with public health, close contacts have been identified and all parents/students of the impacted classroom were notified and provided information on self-isolation. We are working closely with Public Health staff to ensure necessary measures are in place to protect all students.
In an abundance of caution, we have closed the impacted classroom. All impacted families were phoned with additional information sent via email this afternoon. All students in self-isolation will learn remotely for the duration of the self-isolation period. All other classrooms remain open with classes resuming as per usual Tuesday, March 23. A reminder that all classes will move to remote learning on Monday, March 29, 2021.
We remind everyone to monitor for any signs or symptoms of COVID-19. Refer to the Daily Self-Assessment Checklist. Please complete this before attending school each day. If you/your child has any symptoms of COVID-19, please call the HealthLine at 811 and remain at home. If medical attention is required, please call ahead to your health care provider. If it is an emergency requiring urgent attention, call 911.
We will continue to provide additional information to parents/guardians as it is available. For further information regarding COVID-19, please call HealthLine at 811, and/or visit the Saskatchewan Ministry of Health website at www.saskatchewan.ca/covid19.
We wish all our families good health, and pray for all those impacted by the COVID-19 virus, especially this individual and their family.
