Hello Parents/Guardians,

Congratulations - I want to send a thank you and congratulations to the Band students for their hard work and great performance on Sunday at our concert! They did well! Thank you for your support of them!

Concert Lost and Found - There were also some items left at the concert in the audience seating area including some red leather mittens, a black hard shell glasses case, and a couple of toques (one St. Angela Griffons toque and one Clark's Supply and Service toque), and a Christmas elf hat.  There were also some mouthpiece covers and other instrument items that students had left.  Please let me know if any of these belong to you and/or have your child claim the item at rehearsal on Monday.

New Music - The grade 6's have moved into learning many new concepts to prepare to work on the music for the Optimist Band Festival in late March.  The grade 7/8 students have started into new music as well for this festival.  Students should continue with their practicing.

Band Days Festival - Also in March is our annual Regina Catholic Schools Band Days Festival, which is an opportunity for students to perform a solo or in a small ensemble in a festival setting.  Sign up for this will be in full band over the next two weeks.  Information regarding this festival was sent out in a letter at the last full band (I have also attached a copy for your convenience).  Students who do not participate in the festival will perform a solo or ensemble project in class during their lesson.
