Regina Food Bank Project

Food Bank.jpgThis year, The Regina Food Bank transformed a 2,400 sq. ft. Quonset into a greenhouse equipped with 48 unique garden towers, forming the Four Seasons Urban Agriculture Project.  These towers are being used to produce a variety of fresh vegetables for clients and community partners.  As part of this project, five schools were chosen to collaborate with the food bank and host a Garden Tower for the 2017/18 school year.  Our school was chosen, and will be receiving a kit that includes everything that is needed to grow fresh vegetables, fruit and herbs right in our classroom!  On Wednesday, September 20, Mrs. Wernikowski and five student ambassadors spent the day at the Food Bank learning all about this awesome project.  To see the news story please click on the following link:​
