Greetings from the Regina Catholic School Division Board of Trustees!
This month we remember those who have left this earth for everlasting life as we mark All Saints Day and All Souls Day.
I pray that you may have the power to comprehend, with all the saints, what is the breadth and length and height and depth, and to know the love of Christ that surpasses knowledge, so that you may be filled with all the fullness of God.
We carry this love of Christ in our hearts as we honour our veterans on Remembrance. By teaching our children about the past, and sharing with them about those who serve today, we can play a small role in ensuring our future.
November brings the first of our student-involved conferences with teachers and parents. Thank you for your participation in these meetings, and your dedication to the education of your children.
We are waiting for the results of the Theodore Court Case Appeal. To learn more about this threat to Catholic education as we know it, and learn more about you can help defend parental choice, please visit opencatholiceducation.ca. The Saskatchewan Catholic School Boards Association is taking every step available to protect a parent's choice in their family's education.
There are several days to keep marked on the calendar this month. November 7, 8 and 11 are days off for students, leaving a five day weekend. We pray that you can enjoy time together as a family during these days, and remember the sacrifices of the families who serve and protect the freedom of us all.
