Greetings from the Regina Catholic School Division Board of Trustees!

We are Regina Catholic Schools. Currently closed. Continually learning. Constantly praying.

With Easter season comes the hope and promise of new life. During this unprecedented time of school closures and self-isolation, we embrace that hope.

And he said to them, "Go into all the world and proclaim the good news to the whole creation."      ~ Mark 16:15

We pray for all our families, as together, we navigate this very new world of mindful hand washing, working remotely where possible, and students not seeing their teachers every day. We know this is difficult. Our theme is, "Let Your Light Shine," and we see that light everyday through the helpers within our school division. Caretakers are spending extra time ensuring our schools are disinfected so that everyone who enters is safe. Teachers are learning new ways of delivering lessons to students. Students are adjusting to something completely new. Community School Coordinators and Nutrition Workers are making sure our families have a place to turn for help. School Counsellors are checking in with students to touch base and have conversations. Parents are finding creative ways to fit learning into their days. Please remember, whatever your struggle, it's important to stay connected and reach out when and if you, or someone you love, needs help.

Posted below, we've shared with you again the school year calendars for the 2020-2021 school year. We don't know when we will return to traditional classrooms, but we do know that learning will resume after the summer break on September 3, 2020, and we continue to prepare for the next school year.

Beginning a new month gives us a chance to look ahead. To maintain safety and continue to following the Chief Medical Officer's guidelines, we have cancelled the Distinguished Alumni Gala, as well and our Moving in Faith annual event. However, supplemental learning continues, and we encourage all students to participate as much as possible. Please use this opportunity to "Take Back Your Year" and prepare for the next level, whether that is the next grade, first year of high school, or post-secondary education. Our teachers will meet their students where they are next year, but this supplemental learning truly is important.

The only business day in May without school is Friday, May 15, when teachers have meetings scheduled. This gives students a four day weekend with Monday, May 18 being the Victoria Day holiday.
