Today is the Feast Day of Saint Joseph. Saint Joseph was the husband of the Blessed Virgin Mary and the foster father of Jesus.

St. Joseph is the patron saint of Canada. St Joseph is also the patron saint for unborn children, fathers, immigrants and workers.

Let us pray:

Gracious and loving God, we thank you for Saint Joseph who was the loving earthly father of Jesus. We ask Saint Joseph and all the saints to bless all children, and today we ask for a special blessing on all people.

We also ask Saint Joseph and all the saints to help us learn to love each other as sisters and brothers in Christ Jesus.

Lord God, help us to live in peace and harmony with one another – just as Jesus instructed us to do.

Saint Joseph – pray for us.

All Holy men and women – pray for us.
