Today is Wednesday and it is World Wildlife Day. 

We know that God our Creator, made the earth and every living creature.

This morning, we pray:

Blessed are you, Lord God, maker of all living creatures. You made the fish in the sea, birds in the air and animals on the land. 

O God who created everything, we come to You with joy and thanksgiving for the animals around us – our pets that live in our homes with us, and the wild animals that live in the wilderness and forest. 

We see Your wise hand at work in these beautiful creatures. Each animal You created has a specific purpose and maintains the balance of nature. 

Help us to respect and care for animals and to live with them peacefully and kindly in this beautiful world you have given us. 

We make our prayer in Jesus’ name. In the name of the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit. AMEN
