Daily Prayer - March 5
In the name of the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit. Amen
When people asked Jesus what the greatest commandment is, he answered them by saying:
Love the Lord, your God, with all your heart, with all your soul, with all your mind and with all your strength and love your neighbor as yourself.
Let’s focus on that today:
How can we love God with every part of us? Well, it starts by having a conversation with God every day, which we call ‘prayer”. We all know that it takes time to form a good habit. So today, I want to encourage you during the season of Lent to start and end your day with God.
How can you do that? Well, my friends, as soon as you open your eyes in the morning, before you get out of bed and do ANYTHING, thank God.
Start your day by saying, “Good morning God. Thank you for the gift of today.” How simple is that!! Then when you crawl into your bed tonight, thank God again.
It’s as easy as saying, “Thank you God for today…for the food I ate, for the chance to go to school/work, and for my good health. Help me to relax now, Lord, and to have a good sleep. I love you. Amen.”
Let’s try and get into the good habit of starting and ending every single day with God.
And so, we continue to pray as a family:
Help me Jesus, to make time for you in quiet prayer every day.
In the name of the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit. Amen
