Today is the Feast Day of Our Lady of Guadalupe and National Day of Prayer in Solidarity with Indigenous Peoples.

Devotion to Mary has always been an important part of the Catholic faith and Indigenous Peoples. This morning, we will pray a litany to Mary. As each title of Mary is read, please respond, pray for us.

Our Lady of Guadalupe…… Pray for us.
Mother of the faithful….. Pray for us.
Friend of the stranger….. Pray for us.
Shelter of the poor and needy….. Pray for us.
Patron of Indigenous Peoples….. Pray for us.
Mother of all children….. Pray for us.
Star of the Morning….. Pray for us.

O Great Creator, during this season of Advent, we give praise and thank you for our lives and for our families.                    

We thank you for our Elders – our grandfathers and grandmothers, our fathers and mothers, our brothers and sisters. May our families show us how to live closely and respectfully with all Creation.

May all glory and praise be shown to you, Father of all mercies, Guardian of our souls, and Spirit of peace.
