Daily Prayer - February 2

The month of February is Black History Month. Today we have a special prayer to recognize Black History Month. Let us pray:

In the Name of the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit. Amen.

Loving God, we thank you for the ways in which you have created Black people to do great and mighty things throughout the world.

We thank you for the opportunity to learn about people like Martin Luther King Jr., Amanda Gorman, Rosa Parks, and so many more, who have stood up for justice for all people.

Guide us in ways to celebrate our differences.

We pray for unity within our school community. Help us to come together in love and understanding, breaking down barriers that divide us.

Jesus tells us to “love one another as I have loved you”.

We pray for peace in the world, and for love and respect of all God’s creation.

We ask this prayer in Jesus’ name. In the name of the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit. Amen
